The Office of Clinical Education provides oversight of all clinical education for School of Medicine students, from community placements in the first year through clerkships in the third and fourth year.  In conjunction with the East Texas Area Health Education Centers (AHEC), OCE works to assign students to off-campus clinic locations as part of their Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, Neurology and Ambulatory Community Selective rotations.  OCE staff are available to UTMB faculty, community-based physicians and students to serve as liaisons among all on- and off-campus participants in the clinical curriculum.
