 The Program for Innovation in
Education is an $8.65 million effort to revitalize our
educational infrastructure. In recent years, UTMB has worked to transform
how we educate tomorrow’s health care professionals. Where before students
learned by rote and spent much of their class room time in large lecture
halls today’s UTMB students are immersed in a dynamic learning environment
that stresses hands-on learning, emphasizes the medical profession’s human
dimensions and grounds them in the growing body of biomedical knowledge.
