The UTMB DataMarts are extracts of
essential management reporting information from three UTMB record systems: The Financial
Records System (FRS) for fiscal years 1996 thru 2003, PeopleSoft Financials
for fiscal years 2004 and forward, and the Human Resources Management System (HRMS). The Financial DataMart receives
input on a daily basis from the FRS and HRMS detailed record systems.
The Fixed Asset DataMart receives input from the FRS record system on a
daily basis. The PeopleSoft Financials DataMart receives input on a
daily basis from the PeopleSoft Financials application. The HR DataMart receives input from the HRMS
record system on a daily basis primarily, with a few select areas being
provided monthly and on a fiscal year basis.
The extracted data is organized in the
DataMarts to maximize its availability for analysis and reporting. Key to
the data organization is the separation of information into Financial Components,
Fixed Assets Components, HRMS Components and PeopleSoft Financials Components.
