Studies in Biostatistics


University of Texas Medical Branch Graduate Program in Preventive Medicine and Community Health

is seeking applicants for biostatistical studies leading to a Master of Science degree. Students will learn the theory and methods of statistics, epidemiology and biomathematics, enabling them to design and analyze observational and experimental studies. Course work covers not only statistical and mathematical analysis of biomedical data, but also epidemiology and preventive medicine. Graduates will be prepared to work in medical centers, health science centers, industry and government.

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in science or mathematics, show documented proficiency in calculus and linear algebra, and submit recent GRE and TOEFL scores. The expected time to graduate is two years for full-time students. Part-time students are welcome to apply. UTMB is an EOE/AA university that encourages women and minorities to apply.
